Note: Viptela version 19.1.0 works as well. vManage node require 24Gb RAM.

Download template for EVE Community

Image template must be uploaded into EVE location /opt/unetlab/html/templates.

You must edit your EVE Community config.php file accordingle EVE Community cookbook section 12.3  "How to add custom image template".

config.php file location is: /opt/unetlab/html/includes

 

Steps below are based on Viptela 18.4.1 deployment, for other image deployment, use proper names respectively.You  Have to use your own cisco CCO to download images and obtain demo licences.

Note: Viptela vBond and vEdge are using same image: viptela-edge-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2

1. Deployment of Cisco Viptela vBond 18.4.1 image

Step 1. SSH to EVE and login as root, from cli and create temporary working directory on the EVE's root:

mkdir /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtbond-18.4.1

Step 2. Upload the downloaded viptela-edge-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 image to the /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtbond-18.4.1 using  FileZilla or WinSCP.

Step 3. Go to image location and rename uploaded image to hda.qcow2:

cd /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtbond-18.4.1

mv viptela-edge-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 hda.qcow2

2. Deployment of Cisco Viptela vEdge 18.4.1 image

Step 1. SSH to EVE and login as root, from cli and create temporary working directory on the EVE's root:

mkdir /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtedge-18.4.1

Step 2. Upload the downloaded viptela-edge-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 image to the /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtedge-18.4.1 using  FileZilla or WinSCP.

Step 3. Go to image location and rename uploaded image to hda.qcow2:

cd /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtedge-18.4.1

mv viptela-edge-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 hda.qcow2

3. Deployment of Cisco Viptela vSmart 18.4.1 image

Step 1. SSH to EVE and login as root, from cli and create temporary working directory on the EVE's root:

mkdir /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtsmart-18.4.1

Step 2. Upload the downloaded viptela-smart-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 image to the /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtsmart-18.4.1 using  FileZilla or WinSCP.

Step 3. Go to image location and rename uploaded image to hda.qcow2:

cd /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtsmart-18.4.1

mv viptela-smart-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 hda.qcow2

4. Deployment of Cisco Viptela vManage 18.4.1 image

Step 1. SSH to EVE and login as root, from cli and create temporary working directory on the EVE's root:

mkdir /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtmgmt-18.4.1

Step 2. Upload the downloaded viptela-vmanage-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 image to the /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtmgmt-18.4.1 using  FileZilla or WinSCP.

Step 3. Go to image location and rename uploaded image to hda.qcow2:

cd /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/vtmgmt-18.4.1

mv viptela-vmanage-18.4.1-genericx86-64.qcow2 hda.qcow2

Step 4. Create addittional storage 100Gb HDD hdb.qcow2:

/opt/qemu/bin/qemu-img create -f qcow2 hdb.qcow2 100G
