The newest cookbook version always is on our web site.
http://www.eve-ng.net/images/EVE-COOK-BOOK-1.4.pdf

main page/Documentation/EVE cookbook
official command to install dockers is
apt install eve-ng-dockers

for unkown reasons, some of countries cannot reach official Ubuntu repositories so that why why created alternative source:
apt install eve-ng-dockers-alt

alt means alternative, but result of install is same in both commands !

I ran
apt-get install eve-ng-dockers-alt
a few times (as the instructions on http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/ins ... eve-ng-pro said to do) and it was not the same results as "apt install eve-ng-dockers"... You should clean up this page too.

I bet
apt install eve-ng-dockers-alt
would've probably have worked correctly.

Moral of the story seems to be to always reference for the EVE cookbook. And I noticed you added http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/eve-ng-upgrade with the updated "apt" versus "apt-get" references. And I see that I now get version 1.4 of the EVE Pro cookbook instead of version 1.2. Thank you for updating those items.

And thank you for your help!

:)

https://itsfoss.com/apt-vs-apt-get-difference/

For EVE there is no diff which prefix you have in commands sir...
both are fine
apt-get
or just
apt

but dockers when to use command with alt is given here.
http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/eve-ng-upgrade

In the workbook I put it with alt, because wanted to be sure if all book readers can do this install...
Thtas it
