Post by spanning-tree » Wed Nov 01, 2017 8:32 pm

Hi community,

I've a strange problem. My lab is running fine, but if I ping from one Linux host to the other Linux host, the router a the destination site (SZ-01 or Dist-01) crash or get powered off......

Router running IOL images. System information below. Any help how to troubleshoot is welcome. Nothing found in the logfiles.

All simple,
IOL images are not ideal, I recommend raise memory for IOL SW or try another switch image

Do you mean vIOS or IOL L2 / L3 Images?

I have exact same issue.

All devices are L2 IOL
Six switches running fine, one switch - lets call it S1 - has a linux box connected.

All configurations, connectivity and routing (OSPF, LDP, MP-BGP), operating perfectly.
I can ping from S1 to the linux box and vice versa without issue.

If I ping from any other switch in the network to the SVI for the Linux box on switch S1, its fine.
If i ping through S1 to the linux box, the switch S1 is crashed / moves to status off in eve-ng

I tried increasing memory, same issue.

Are there any further diagnostic logs to identify where the error is here?
