Change default IDLE-PC value when adding NODE

Post by hermodfinjord » Fri Nov 17, 2017 11:22 am

Hi
The default IDLE-PC value when adding Cisco IOS 7206VXR (Dynamips) node is "0x62f21000". This works well for the c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.1524-S7 image.

I have installed a new c7200 image called c7200-adventerprisek9-mz.155-2.XB.image. When I change to this new image when adding a node to my topology one of my servers CPU cores goes up to 100% utilization. I have calculated new IDLE-PC value for this image that works. But the problem is that I have to manually change IDLE-PC value each time i add a new 7200 node to my topology. This is because the default value of 0x62f21000 always pops up.

Is it a way to change this default value?

Thanks :-)

Another vote of thanks for this!

Can someone add this step to the "documentation" side of the house at the end of the "idle-pc" section of adding the images?
