N9k MTU

Post by kuglofasz » Thu Oct 17, 2019 6:49 pm

Hello all,

Today we played with N9k 9.x version and ran into an issue.
We configured vPC, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF and we noticed that the BGP session went up/down all time. We had more than 130 vxlan enabled vlans.
We used mtu 9218 under the interfaces but I’m sure that because of the high number of prefixes the BGP UPDATE message exceeded the mtu. We removed some prefixes and after that BGP started to work.

My question is: how is mtu handled by eve?

Thank you.

Thanks. Does this mean that EVE uses MTU9000 under the hood (under the connection link between two devices)?
