Hello.
I've just installed EVEng on a bare metal linux box. I am using a proxy server in between that and my Windows 10 workstation.
---
root@vacuum:~# uname -a
Linux vacuum 5.17.8-eve-ng-uksm-wg+ #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon May 16 10:08:59 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
---
I just installed device OSs. None work when clicked into-- They either do nothing, or the ASAv tries to telnet into the production linux box IP address. (Any help here would be appreciated.)
pdf states to add proxy IP...
EVE-PE-BOOK-5.7-2023.pdf page 57, 62 says (see attached image)-- that I must select tab in "systems" called "system settings".
BUT-- Why is "system settings" tab missing from my browser GUI?
Thank you.

You are using EVE Community version which has not such Settings option.
EVE Pro has it.
on EVE Community proxy must be set manually
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/00proxy
or on cli
export http_proxy=http://1.2.3.4:8080/
export https_proxy=http://1.2.3.4:8080/
