Hi All,
I'm new to the emulation world and having a hell of a time setting up my VMX lab, hoping the community can lend me a hand and let me know where i screwed up.
In short, I believe I've followed the steps correct (https://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/ho ... -16-x-17-x) to install Eve-Ng and VMX 17.1, the problem i'm having is i cannot telnet into my VCP/VFP. whenever i click the VCP icon, nothing appears.
so far i've done the following:
1- install Eve-Ng
2- created folder "vmxvcp- 171" and input file hda.qcow2 (VCP OFA file)
3 - created folder "vmxvfp- 171" and input file hda.qcow2 (VCF OFA file)
4- created link between VCP and VCF using EM1
5 - startedup both machines
Thanks in advance

Re: Setting up VMX on Eve-NG
you must pay attention for foldernames !!!
it cannot be with cap letters, it must be exactly as given in the how to..
you cannot telnet/console to your node because it is converted from vmdk..
it is not right
get original vMX files which mentioned in the how to.
and you can visit live EVE chat to talk with guys for best experience

use google account or create new for chat

Re: Setting up VMX on Eve-NG
huge thanks for the help. i figured out what i did wrong, in addition to the mentioned below i download the ESXI images rather than the KVM images that EVE-NG supports. for the most part my lab is up except for one problem. when i create my second VCP/VFP combo the VCP comes up but the VFP just hangs. ultimately i'm only able to get one set of VCP/VFP up.
