Why saved configurations get lost after a while?

Before posting something, READ the changelog, WATCH the videos, howto and provide following:
Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

Why saved configurations get lost after a while?

Post by sounknownyet » Sun Mar 10, 2019 11:57 am

Hi,

I noticed that configuration on topologies are kept somehow temporarily.

Let's say I created DMVPN. I save the config through "(do) write memory" command and it's fine.
I turn the devices off and turn them on to check if it loads the configuration that I saved and it works as expected

but...

after a few days I want to continue on a particular topology configuration and I can't because it loads a new configuration.

I've EVE-NG locally and shut a VM down when it's not necessary to run it anymore.

I dunno why it's happening.
If you've any ideas share it please.

EVE version: a newest one (2.0.3-95)
VMware Workstation 15 for virtualization

Thanks.

If you did WR
then nothing will be lost...

But loading other config, means you had badly images which are committed with some cfg to be as default.
Usually such behaviour happens when you grab image from unknown source .. Sorry

Another option is:
