I am going to build a new sevrer for EVE-NG on WMware.

I have a question regarding VMware ESXi 6.5 licencing requiremnets. As per the below link, it only says "VMware ESXi 6.0 or later" but how about licenses? can we run with free ESXi licences which has a limitation of 8 CPUs per VM. So if we run EVE-NG VM and if I have 32 cores from 2 physical Xeon CPUs, can I allocate 32 cores to free ESXi 6.5 server?

If anyone has any experience running free ESXi 6.5, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

yes EVE will work, but as you answered yourself it is limit of CPU use allowance for EVE VM.

Esxi lic remove those limitations. Without ESXi lic you will not be able use full power 32 cores...
