Make link connections from command line

Post by charlie_hotmail » Tue Sep 25, 2018 6:44 am

Hello Mates,

I added 6 Arista switches R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R5, R6.

I would like to make to connections below; is it possible to connect them from the command line? currently, whenever i need to make a connection, i have to manually add the nodes, then click, drag and add the connection links.

[[R1]]
Eth2 --> R2 Eth 2
Eth4 --> R3 Eth 2
Eth6 --> R4 Eth 2
Eth8 --> R5 Eth 2
Eth10 --> R6 Eth 2

Similar to dynamips of the past, i wonder if this is achievable?

THanks!

Drag and drop.
I dont see any benefit of interconnection nodes from CLI!
and it is not possible

Thanks Uldis, I think it could be beneficial in datacenter designs, leaf and spine topology

I have 16 leafs, 16spine,
each leaf has 16 uplinks connection to the spine, that a total of 256 links if i have my maths right; it is becoming difficult to use the graphical interface to make these connections.
