Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS support
Hello,
why don't you want to support ubuntu server 18.04 LTS ?
I'd like to use a bare metal install, but looks like only 18.04 support my hardware. I guess I'm not (or won't be) the only one affected.
Later or sooner (actually April 2021 ), 16.04 will be out of game.
I'm referring to this post:

Thanks .

Richard,
EVE is complex solution like applience and not as software over distribution.
This year it is not planned to develop EVE on Ubuntu 19

Re: Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS support
Hi there,
i bought a Intel NUC10i7 with 64 GB of RAM and want to use it as bare metal.
The problem: Ubuntu 16 LTS do not find any NICs. I tried already to use another driver but have no luck.
The simple solution: Ubuntu 18 LTS have it
The Problem: NO EVE-NG Support.
So my question is, when will it be available?
Uldis, are you alone in programming...?

Problem is not in NUC box, but how you find the NIC driver which need to install extra.
Many bare servers with Broadcom NIC required install as addon on Ubuntu server..
I pretty sure this driver exist and can be installed.
Ubuntu 18 is on the way, I hope maybe in April or May will be out.
No I am not alone in EVE

Re: Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS support
Ok, thanks for this information.
I found the driver on the Intel site but as i explained - no luck with it.
So i'm waiting for the new release.
EVE-NG looks very nice. If it works as expected i buy a license for our team.
Mainly focus is Aruba CX, NetEdit, Clearpass, AirWave and HPE/H3C Comware 7.
If i can test something let me know.

Re: Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS support
On April the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS will be released.
Maybe it is possible to go directly to this version?
I hope this version will be supported soon.
