Cisco ISRV

Here you can ask EVE-NG team to add new images to the list to play in lab.

Do not ask questions like "where I can get image x or Y" in that forum

Team,

I am also interested in testing ISRv in EVE. I tried the way like CSR1000v, but gives me ISSU errors as below. It runs with 2vCPUs, 4G RAM.

Apr 7 03:23:31.648 RP0/0: %ISSU-5-ISSU_STATE_INVALID: ISSU stored state found invalid and cleaned up: ISSU in-progress lock found
Apr 7 03:24:16.038 RP0/0: %PMAN-3-PROC_EMPTY_EXEC_FILE: Empty executable used for process smd
Apr 7 03:24:35.369 RP0/0: %PMAN-3-PROC_EMPTY_EXEC_FILE: Empty executable used for process smd
Apr 7 03:24:37.662 FP0/0: %PMAN-3-PROCHOLDDOWN: The process cpp_ha_top_level_server has been helddown (rc 69)
Apr 7 03:24:47.632 FP0/0: %PMAN-3-PROCHOLDDOWN: The process qfp-ucode-csx has been helddown (rc 139)
Apr 7 03:24:55.240 FP0/0: %PMAN-3-PROCHOLDDOWN: The process cpp_cp_svr has been helddown (rc 134)
Apr 7 03:24:56.641 FP0/0: %PMAN-5-EXITACTION: Process manager is exiting: process exit with reload fru code

Appreciate your help!!!

looks like image is not prepared properly,
and no need x2 cpu and ram 4
enough x1cpu and 3g ram

I get the same PMAN error on ISRv. The ISRv image boots just fine in ESXi.

ISRv is designed for UCS server with ESXi mate...
But CSRv1000 works fine on EVE

I got it going.

You have to set the qemu option for cpu to nehalem or better.

Works like a champ.

I have ISRv 16.6.2 talking to CSR1000V 16.8.1... like a champ

Yes works
thanks for tip

Unfortunately dot1q interfaces anyway not OK
straight p2p is ok
dot1q to trunk NO
same problem observed on Denali and Everest original images, ISO.
Everest from VIRL works ok dot1q

You have to use vmxnet3 as the interface type. Google around and find out how to get vmxnet3 available in eve-ng.

I have Everest, Denali, and the Fuji working with QEMU with dot1q working just fine.
