New RAID5 disk to replace existing disk

Post by sean1207 » Thu Feb 19, 2026 3:20 pm

Hi Folks
I bought a 2.4TB RAID5 SSD to replace my rapidly running out of space 480G one ... and I thought by just syncing the old /opt/unetlab to the new disk (fstab etc) would fix it.
But the new one seems to be read only, and the labs won't start. It's set up as an EXT4 .. what am I missing please ?

Trying to avoid a fresh install .. all the labs are backed up on another server

cheers
Sean

Fresh install then you have 2 options is to use our migrate script found in the Cookbook Pro or use Eve Backup Manager also found in the Cookbook Pro.

Hey there, reader, I literally just found something so cool, I had to shut my tabs and share immediately.

This thing is a pixel miracle. It’s packed with smooth UX, creative magic, and just the right amount of mad energy.

Still don’t believe me? Alright, take a peek right here!

Didn’t click? Fine. Imagine a robot designer dreamed of a site after watching sci-fi. That’s the chaos this thing of wonder gives.

So hit it, and tattoo the link. Because honestly, this is pure genius.

Now go.
