Optimal No of CPUs and RAM

Post by Nawaz » Sun Oct 03, 2021 2:28 am

Hi,
My EVE-NG Setup is as follows;
Laptop: Lenovo P53
Processor: i7-9750H (6 cores / 12 threads)
RAM: 96GB
VMWare Workstation Pro 16.1.2
EVE-NG Version: Free

My question is that what should be the optimal number of CPUs and RAM for the above environment.
The VMware documentation (Document: Using VMware Workstation Pro 16.0) States that

CPU: Assigning all processors on your computer to the virtual machine results in extremely poor performance. (Page 52)
RAM: The maximum amount of memory for each virtual machine is 64GB. (Page 53)

Are the above restrictions correct?
